On the sound advice of the local tourist office, we decided to set off to discover the reserve of Järlean and its rapids, reputed to be among the most powerful in the region. It's a natural spectacle best enjoyed in spring, when the tumultuous waters tumble down the centuries-old valleys, amidst marvellous floral displays.

The signposted footpaths, with steps for easy walking, make for accessible hikes, the longest of which is no more than 5 km. An ideal way to immerse yourself in the unspoilt natural landscapes of the surrounding area.
